MYOB Retail Manager v9.0 onwards POS — bank compatibility

MYOB Retail Manager v9.0 onwards is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by AAAPOS. MYOB sold it. AAAPOS bought it outright on 1 March 2022, and it has been their product ever since.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

This is the one that catches people out: MYOB RetailManager is not MYOB's any more. AAAPOS Pty Ltd acquired the product on 1 March 2022 and now sells it as AAAPOS RetailManager. MYOB's own explanation was that it had been relying more and more on partners like AAAPOS for anything past the basics, so it handed the product over to one.

AAAPOS operates out of Banyule in Melbourne's north-east and had already spent more than 20 years supporting RetailManager customers before it bought the thing. The support numbers did not change — 1300 555 115 in Australia, +61 3 8400 3083 in New Zealand — and hours went up to 7am to 7pm on weekdays and 9am to 5pm on weekends. The product itself is more than 25 years old.

What you get now: sales, inventory, pricing and promotions, reporting and CRM, with accounting links out to MYOB and Xero and ecommerce links to Shopify, WooCommerce and eBay. AAAPOS also sells the hardware — scanners, cash drawers, receipt and label printers. If you are running v9.0 or later and still think you are a MYOB customer, you are not, and that changes who you call when the terminal stops talking to the till.

AAAPOS also has AAAPOS RetailManager.
