Pratham POS is a point-of-sale system for general retail, hair and beauty, retail and services, built by Achyut Labs. Trading name of Achyut Labs, a Melbourne outfit on St Kilda Road.

It is certified on all three middleware layers that matter here — Linkly, mx51 and Tyro. Eighteen of the 1,127 systems on this site manage that, which leaves your choice of bank about as open as it gets.

Certified for split bills.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud. The mx51 integration uses SPI JavaScript and was last certified in February 2025, on Android and Windows.

Pratham POS is Achyut Labs Pty Ltd (ABN 19 639 614 332), operating out of 470 St Kilda Road in Melbourne. They go wide rather than deep — restaurants, cafes, bars, breweries, pizza shops, retail, plus the whole hair and beauty block: salons, nail bars, barbers, spas. Eleven-odd industries from one product is a generalist play, and it is worth asking in the demo which of those verticals they actually have reference sites in.

The part that matters for a merchant is the payments breadth. They claim integration with 18-plus EFTPOS partners including Tyro, ANZ and Nuvei, and they lean hard on being built for Australian businesses rather than being an overseas product localised after the fact. Offline mode and multi-terminal sync are both named features, which is the right thing to check if you are a venue that loses internet.

Achyut Labs also has Pratham POS OnPrem.
