ArmPOS is a point-of-sale system for hospitality and retail, built by Armloop. The plain-badged version of the same Brisbane system, certified through mx51 rather than Tyro.

Certified on mx51, which is the engine behind several banks’ own terminal offerings rather than something a merchant buys by name.

It handles tipping and surcharging.

The mx51 integration uses Spice and was last certified in February 2024, on Windows.

ArmPOS is Armloop's point of sale. The company behind it is Armloop Pty Ltd, registered in Queensland on 10 October 2013 and based around Bowen Hills and Fortitude Valley in Brisbane, which traded as Cieltek Pty Ltd until it changed its name in August 2021. If you get documentation that says Cieltek, or a website on cieltek.com, that is the same business and not a bait and switch.

The range around the till is kitchen display, QR-code ordering, loyalty, back office and a handheld terminal, and the company claims 2,000-plus local and FMCG retailers. Tyro tags Armloop products for bars and pubs, butchers, grocers and supermarkets, cafes, general retail and quick service — grocery and convenience is where the weight is.

There are three Armloop records in this dataset: ArmPOS and Armloop certified through mx51, and ArmPOS-K certified by Tyro at Plus tier. They are not interchangeable from a payments point of view, because the middleware decides which acquirers you can reach. Work out which build a quote covers before you compare it with anything.

Armloop also has Armloop.
