AUPOS POS Expert — bank compatibility

AUPOS POS Expert is a point-of-sale system for hospitality, built by AUPOS. Burwood in Sydney, and the reference list is a who's who of Asian hospitality — Tim Ho Wan, Gong Cha, Taste of Shanghai.

Certified on mx51, which is the engine behind several banks’ own terminal offerings rather than something a merchant buys by name.

The mx51 integration uses SPI .NET and was last certified in June 2018, on Windows.

AUPOS trades from 185G Burwood Road, Burwood NSW, and says it has more than 10 years in POS and IT products. It sells into hospitality — restaurants, cafes, bars, takeaway, juice bars, bakeries, with a specific Chinese restaurant POS offering — and into retail, covering convenience stores, supermarkets, dollar shops and bottle shops.

The named customers are unusually specific for this end of the market: New Star Entertainment Group, Daiso, Workshop Espresso, Taste of Shanghai Group, Three Beans Cafe and Gong Cha, with logos for Tim Ho Wan, Mizuya, Monkey King, YX Hotpot, DollarKing, Hot Dollar and Hot Star. The company claims 3,000-plus customers, 5,000-plus terminals and over 400,000 transactions a day. That is a real niche: multi-site Asian restaurant and bubble-tea groups, plus discount variety chains, where the menu structure, back-of-house language and supplier mix are not what a mainstream hospitality POS is designed around.

One caution. Parts of the AUPOS site still carry template placeholder text — a dummy email address and phone number — so treat the headline numbers as the vendor's own claims and ask for reference sites comparable to yours. If you run a bubble tea or hotpot group, though, the names on this list are more relevant to you than anything a generic cloud POS will put in front of you.

AUPOS also has POS Expert.
