POS Expert — bank compatibility

POS Expert is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by AUPOS. The retail-tagged build of the same Burwood system that runs the tills in a lot of Asian food groups.

Certified on mx51, which is the engine behind several banks’ own terminal offerings rather than something a merchant buys by name.

The mx51 integration uses SPI .NET and was last certified in September 2018, on Windows.

Same vendor as the AUPOS POS Expert record beside it: AUPOS, at 185G Burwood Road, Burwood NSW, with more than 10 years in POS and IT products. This record carries the retail tag, and AUPOS's retail side covers convenience stores, supermarkets, dollar shops and bottle shops, alongside a hospitality range for restaurants, cafes, bars, takeaway, juice bars and bakeries.

The retail references are the discount-variety end of the market — Daiso, DollarKing, Hot Dollar, Hot Star — with Tim Ho Wan, Gong Cha, Taste of Shanghai Group, Mizuya, Monkey King and YX Hotpot on the hospitality side. The company claims 3,000-plus customers, 5,000-plus terminals and over 400,000 daily transactions. A dollar-shop or Asian grocery operation has a stock problem most POS vendors never meet: thousands of low-value lines, frequent supplier changes and barcodes that do not always exist, and a vendor embedded in that trade knows it.

Caveat as on the sibling record: parts of the AUPOS site still show template placeholder contact details, so the claimed numbers are the vendor's own. Ask for sites your size, and confirm which acquirers the mx51 certification reaches for the bank you want to use.

AUPOS also has AUPOS POS Expert.
