Worth untangling before you ring anyone. Black Label Solutions is a Melbourne software company, founded in 1997, based on St Kilda Road, building mobile point-of-sale and cloud transaction systems for retail, government and service businesses. Surefire's own history is the useful part. It has been building POS for large retail customers for around 20 years, starting with Microsoft-based tills for grocery retailers before putting a cloud engine underneath and moving to a subscription model. That tells you who it is for. This is built for high-volume, multi-store chains where the till is one layer on top of a bigger merchandise system — not a standalone box for a single shop. If you run one cafe, it is the wrong tool. If you run forty stores on an enterprise back end and want mobile checkout without ripping that out, it is exactly the pitch.
