NomadPOS — bank compatibility

Point-of-sale system by Black Label Solutions · All point-of-sale systems

NomadPOS is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Black Label Solutions. The same product as the Nomad POS record beside it — Linkly carries both spellings and they are one till.

Certified on Linkly, running in the cloud. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.

This and the Nomad POS record next to it are the same thing listed twice with different spacing. The vendor is Black Label Solutions, a Melbourne company founded in 1997 and based on St Kilda Road, doing mobile POS and cloud transaction systems for retail, government and service businesses. The website on the record is surefiresystems.com, so Surefire Systems is the name you will actually deal with.

Surefire came out of grocery — Microsoft-based tills for supermarket chains — then built a cloud engine underneath and went to subscription pricing. The customer list is chain retail: FoodWorks, Liquorland, Ritchies Supa IGA, Spotlight, Anaconda, The Reject Shop, with Officeworks running the transaction platform over its existing SAP back end and Optus embedding the technology in its Retail Assist product. Councils use it for self-service bill payment, and the company says it holds accreditation with all the major Australian banks.

If you are collecting quotes, don't treat these two records as two options. It is one vendor, and the question to ask is which release and which deployment your sites would be on, because that is what determines the acquirer list rather than the badge on the directory entry.

Black Label Solutions also has Black Label Solutions and Nomad POS.
