Poswise v1.0.99 (CHQ) POS — bank compatibility

Poswise v1.0.99 (CHQ) is a point-of-sale system for hospitality and retail, built by CloudHQ4. a Cheltenham POS brand that switched its own customers onto a cloud platform back in 2018.

Certified on Linkly, running in the cloud. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.

Poswise is an older Melbourne POS brand — Poswise Pty Ltd, 359 Warrigal Road, Cheltenham, Victoria, with National Measurement Institute pattern approval going back to October 2012. Its own site says support for the original software ended on 1 January 2018 and users were migrated to the CloudHQ version, which is the (CHQ) in this product name. The company says its systems are installed at over 2,000 sites regionally, and names Six Keys, NFM Supermarket in Nowra, SpudBar, and the Salvos at 200-plus stores.

The Salvos reference is the one worth dwelling on. Charity retail is a genuinely hard POS problem — hundreds of stores, volunteer staff turning over constantly, donated stock with no barcodes or cost price, and head office needing consolidated numbers anyway. A system that holds up across 200 op shops has been tested in a way most small-business tills never are.

On the corporate side: CloudHQ and CloudHQ4 appear to be the same business, with both vendor names pointing at cloudhq4.com and the mobile app carrying a CloudHQ4 Pty Ltd copyright from 2019. How CloudHQ4 Pty Ltd relates to the original Poswise Pty Ltd — same owner, successor, partner — is not stated anywhere we could find, and we are not going to guess. No founding date or ownership for CloudHQ4 is published.

CloudHQ4 also has Poswise.
