HioPos — bank compatibility

HioPos is a point-of-sale system for hospitality, built by Custom Hospitality Systems. A Spanish product sold here by a local integrator — HioPOS is a division of Lleida's ICG Group, which has been at this since 1985.

HioPOS is not Australian. HIOPOS Solutions was born in 2010 out of A&K Holding, part of ICG Group, which was itself created in 1985 by founding president Andreu Pi Pocurull and runs from Torrefarrera near Lleida in Catalonia. The group is present in more than 70 countries across five continents, with 25 international concessions and seven companies under it, and three business divisions: ICG Solutions, HIOPOS and CashDro. HioPOS is the cloud platform; the older ICG Windows software still runs alongside it.

The stack is broad for a till — POS terminals, kitchen screens, self-service kiosks, online ordering and reservations, delivery and takeaway, service robots, ERP, CRM and analytics — aimed at hospitality and retail, from restaurants and bars to supermarkets, bakeries, butchers and salons.

In Australia it reaches merchants through Custom Hospitality Systems, trading as CHSPOS, which sells and supports POS from a single terminal up to an integrated enterprise setup, with engineers available seven days a week, 363 days a year, by phone, remote session or on site. CHS covers fast food and catering, fine dining and full service, cafes and bakeries, bars, pubs and nightclubs, salons, and retail. Because the software is built offshore and supported locally, the question to put to the reseller is which parts of the HioPOS stack they actually support here.
