CYGEN POS is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by CYGEN CONSULTING. Parramatta head office, a Milpitas lab, and around 1,000 locations on the platform.

Certified on Linkly, running in the cloud. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.

CYGEN runs its Australian corporate office from Level 3, 90 Phillip Street in Parramatta, Sydney, with what it calls a US innovation centre in Milpitas, California. It sells the software and the hardware together: an all-in-one dual-screen terminal with printer, cash drawer, scanner and integrated scale, plus mPOS, kiosks and handheld stocktake devices.

The platform covers point of sale, loyalty and gift cards, integrated ecommerce, stocktake by PDT, QR-code ecommerce, inventory, reporting, in-store pickup and signage, with CaaS, Enterprise and template tiers on the services side. CYGEN says it powers around 1,000 business locations globally — that is the company's own figure, not an audited one, and worth treating as such.

The market is split between retail and food: apparel, electronics, liquor, vape and multi-store retail on one side; bars, cafés, hotels, quick service and chicken shops on the other, plus kiosk and self-service setups. An integrated scale in the standard hardware bundle tells you grocers and weighed-goods food retail are squarely in scope.

CYGEN CONSULTING also has CYPOS.
