eTakeaway is a point-of-sale system for cafes, hospitality and quick service, built by ECNESOFT. One of three POS brands run by the same Silverwater company since 2002.

Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.

Certified for split bills. Tyro rates it a Plus partner.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

eTakeaway is an ECNESOFT product. ECNESOFT has been operating since 2002, works out of Stubbs Street in Silverwater, NSW, and sells both software and the hardware under it — Apexa G, Anyshop Prime and Imprex Prime terminals, printers, scanners and scales. Its software line is eRestaurant for table service, eTakeaway for quick service and takeaway, and eClever Retail for shops.

The bit worth knowing is that the same owner runs two more POS companies, POSBANK and POSNET. So when you get quotes from what look like different Australian POS vendors in this corner of the market, check the entity behind them — you may be negotiating with one business three times.

The market they serve is independent Australian hospitality and food retail: restaurants, cafes, butcheries, grocers, beauty shops. Local build, local support, counter speed. If you are a takeaway doing volume at lunch, that is the right brief — just test the order-screen flow under pressure rather than in a quiet showroom.

ECNESOFT also has POBLE POS.
