Symphony POS — bank compatibility

Point-of-sale system by Exobiz Services · All point-of-sale systems

  • retail

Symphony is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Exobiz Services. listed under a Brisbane ERP consultancy that MYOB absorbed in July 2021.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

The vendor behind this record is Exobiz, a Queensland MYOB specialist — a Platinum Partner and Premium Developer on MYOB EXO and MYOB Advanced, with warehouse management, manufacturing, retail and distribution modules built around them, and 40-plus ERP specialists on one directory's count. Co-owner and CTO Steve Aish put the business at sixteen years old when it sold, dating the start to roughly 2005.

MYOB bought Exobiz in July 2021, together with a partner called Axsys, in a push into the mid-market. Terms were undisclosed. Aish moved across to lead MYOB's ERP migration development team, and Exobiz was described as continuing as an independent entity in the short term. If you are an Exobiz client, that is where your vendor went: into MYOB.

On the product called Symphony, we found nothing. Not a page, not a mention, not a feature list — Exobiz's own site and its partner listings never use the name. We are not going to describe a product we cannot source. What we can tell you is who stands behind it and that they now answer to MYOB, which is the question most merchants should be asking anyway. Treat the product detail as unknown and get it in writing before you commit.

Exobiz Services also has Exobiz POS.
