FANZ SkyBus POS Linkly Integration is not a point-of-sale system — it is the payment connector that joins a point-of-sale system to the terminal, through Linkly. Built by Fujitsu Australia. Not a POS at all — this is the module joining Fujitsu's SkyBus fare system to a payment terminal through Linkly.

Worth being clear about what this is, because the directories list it alongside the tills: you do not buy this instead of a point-of-sale system, you buy it to connect one you already have.

This record is a payment connector, not a till, and the vendor is a systems integrator rather than a POS company. The parent system is SkyBus's fare payment platform: Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand integrates and manages it, built on Masabi's Justride account-based ticketing APIs and mobile ticketing SDK. Since December 2021 passengers have bought tickets through the SkyBus app, website, e-kiosks and other points of sale, starting at Melbourne and Brisbane airports, then tapped a phone or a printed ticket to board.

SkyBus is one big customer rather than a product line. Before the pandemic it carried more than five million passengers a year across 14 express airport transfer services, and it is operated by Kinetic. Masabi Justride Validator devices went in across the fleet, and Fujitsu migrated the whole thing onto SkyBus's existing kiosk and bus driver hardware rather than replacing it — which is exactly the kind of job a connector exists to make possible.

So what the connector is for: getting card payments taken at those kiosks and on board through to an acquirer via Linkly. Fujitsu's own Dave Lennon framed the design goal as being able to "easily introduce Apple Pay, Google Pay & contactless EMV (cEMV) bank card payments" without disturbing printed and mobile tickets. If you are a merchant comparing POS systems, this is not one you can buy.
