Future Fusion POS is a point-of-sale system for hospitality, built by Future POS. the 2009 rebuild of an American restaurant POS, launched at a dealer conference in Las Vegas.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Future Fusion was the next-generation version of Future POS, debuting in July 2009 at the Future POS Dealer Conference in Las Vegas. The point of it was unglamorous and important: it replaced a 1980s-era database with a Microsoft-backed one. The development was credited to Cutting Edge Solutions. If you are looking at a quote for this, you are looking at the modernised platform rather than the original codebase.

The parent product comes from Butler, Pennsylvania, founded in 1998 by John Giles, and said it was in more than 18,000 restaurants worldwide by 2018, sold through resellers. It is best known in the States through Bar Rescue, where Jon Taffer features it. The company is now part of the Shift4 Payments group, alongside Harbortouch, Restaurant Manager and POSitouch — a payments business that has collected restaurant POS brands so the till and the processing share an owner.

The Australian caveat is the same as for the parent: this is a US product certified for Australian terminals, with no Australian office, reseller or named customer that we could find. Zeller lists Future POS as an integration partner pointing at the US site, so it is reachable here, but support and roadmap are set in Pennsylvania. Don't confuse it with the Australian FusionPOS, which is an unrelated bicycle-shop platform, or with the UK takeaway product of similar name.

Future POS also has Future POS.
