Plus2 is a point-of-sale system for entertainment and leisure, built by Gladstone MRM (Australia). Leisure centre software with a 1981 squash-league origin story, and Constellation Software has owned it since 2010.

Plus2 goes back to 1981 and Norman Guiver's company Microcache, which started with a league system for his squash team and a membership system for a leisure centre. Microcache was sold to Gladstone MRM Ltd in 1999, Gladstone bought Membertrack in 2000, and in 2001 Membertrack and Gladstone ClubmanNT were merged into PLUS2 — the product that went on to dominate local-authority leisure. Gladstone was bought out by Jonas in 2010 and now sits inside Constellation Software's Vesta Software Group.

This is leisure management rather than retail POS, and the distinction matters when you are choosing a terminal. Memberships, bookings, course management, access control and the front counter that sits over them are the job; the card payment is one step in a joining or renewal flow rather than a queue of unrelated sales. A typical install is multi-site — one UK operator runs Plus2 across 15 sites with the Gladstone Management Console, Join@Home, Connect and Learn2 around it.

In Australia the business trades as Gladstone MRM. Its named local reference site is Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness, which used Join Online to move signups off the paper form at the front counter — the exact point where an integrated terminal either saves the staff member a re-key or does not.
