Jim2 Business Engine is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Happen Business. A Sydney ERP with a till in it — and since 2019 it has belonged to Jonas Software, part of Canada's Constellation Software.

Happen Business is the company, Jim2 Business Engine is the product, and Mortdale in Sydney's south is where it started. The two public records disagree on when: Jonas Software's own acquisition announcement puts the founding at 2001, while GetApp's vendor listing says 1990. Founder and managing director Paul Berger was still running it when Jonas announced on 13 February 2019 that it had acquired Happen Business Pty Limited, which put the business inside Constellation Software's Jonas group.

Jim2 is an ERP first and a point of sale second. It bolts accounting, stock control, purchasing and sales into one system, on-premise or cloud, with Android and iOS apps, and it is sold into Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and South Africa. The customers who rate it are importers, wholesalers, retailers, textiles, managed print and mining supply — businesses with thousands of SKUs where the receipting and purchasing process matters far more than how fast the terminal is.
