iPOS is a point-of-sale system for hospitality and retail, built by Imagatec. Brisbane-built, and the one you find behind the counter at Hogs Breath, Pizza Capers and a lot of car washes.

It is certified on all three middleware layers that matter here — Linkly, mx51 and Tyro. Eighteen of the 1,127 systems on this site manage that, which leaves your choice of bank about as open as it gets.

Certified to do pay at table, tipping, phone and mail order and payments embedded in the app. Tyro rates it a Premium partner — their top tier.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud. The mx51 integration uses SPI JavaScript and was last certified in April 2019, on Browser.

Imagatec is an Australian-owned software house with its head office and development team in Brisbane, run by director Trevor Turnbull and managing director Brian Howard-Clarke. iPOS is its main product, sold store-based or cloud, with iPizza, iWash, iWarehouse and iOrder around it.

The customer list is the tell. Imagatec names Magic Hand Carwash, Hogs Breath Cafe, Pizza Capers and Fasta Pasta among hundreds of clients. Cafes, restaurants, quick service — and car washes, which is a genuinely unusual vertical to build for and is why iWash exists as its own product.

It is a customisation shop as much as a software vendor: installation, hardware, staff training and a 24/7 help desk, with the software tailored per site. That suits a franchise group with its own way of doing things and costs more time up front than a self-serve cloud product.

Imagatec also has iPOS / iCAFE / iPIZZA / iWASH and iPos/iCafe/iPizza/iWash vFeb2010.
