Infor Pathway is a point-of-sale system for government, built by Infor. Council software, not shop software — it is what your local government runs the rates counter on.

Certified on Linkly, running in the cloud. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.

Pathway is Infor's end-to-end, cloud-based local government platform for councils in Australia and New Zealand. Infor pitches it as the system that breaks down the silos in how people do business with a council: service delivery, legislative compliance, customer service and the revenue side that funds community development.

Which explains why it turns up in a payments certification register at all. A council counter takes rates payments, animal registrations, infringements, planning and building fees — real card transactions on a real terminal — but Pathway is a public-sector system of record, not a POS anyone would buy for a shop.

Ownership: Infor has been fully owned by Koch Industries since 2020, in a deal reported at around US$13 billion, and runs as a standalone subsidiary of the world's second-largest private company. Your council's rates system ultimately belongs to a Kansas-based private conglomerate — which is accurate, if not the kind of thing that makes the agenda papers.

Infor also has Infor M3.
