iTellerPlus is a point-of-sale system for hospitality, built by Intercard. The bigger self-service card kiosk from a St. Louis outfit that has been doing cashless amusement since 1989.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

iTellerPlus is the upgraded self-service kiosk in Intercard's range — the unattended unit where a customer buys a play card or tops one up in an arcade, family entertainment centre or trampoline park. Intercard was established in 1979, is based in St. Louis, Missouri, and says that "In 1989 we introduced the first debit card system to the amusement industry."

Around the kiosk sits a cloud-based facility management platform: debit card management, RFID readers, POS, cash management, marketing, loyalty programs and redemption processing, with the Intercard Fun Card as the stored-value product customers actually carry. Its market is amusement parks, FECs, movie theatres and cruise lines, and it operates well beyond the US — a recent stretch of installs ran across eight countries including Australia and New Zealand, plus Colombia, Egypt, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar. Alberto Borrero, its senior vice president of international sales, has put it simply: "operators are installing cashless technology in greater numbers than ever."

For payments, remember what is actually being sold at this kiosk: stored value, not goods. The reconciliation that matters is card issuance and outstanding balance against takings, and the trading pattern is spiky — school holidays and wet Saturdays. Because it is unattended, the things worth negotiating are unattended-transaction certification, behaviour on decline with no staff present, and offline resilience. A kiosk that stops selling cards stops the whole venue earning.

Intercard also has iCashier and iteller.
