Ironbark Cloud POS is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Ironbark Software. The hosted route into Ironbark's system — same forty-year-old Australian ERP underneath, different deployment decision.

Certified on Linkly, running in the cloud. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.

Ironbark Software has been building ERP in Australia for more than forty years and describes itself as proudly Australian-owned and operated. Cloud POS is not a separate product so much as a hosted way into the same stack: the counter sits inside the retail and wholesale ERP with inventory, pricing, e-commerce integration and financials attached to it.

Where Ironbark earns its keep is the awkward verticals — fresh produce, fuel distribution, retail and wholesale, timber and logging, third-party logistics and warehouse management. The company positions itself around operational problems, traceability and efficiency rather than around the terminal, which is the honest description of what it is.

If stock by weight, grade or lot is not your problem, this is more system than you need. If it is, the question worth asking Ironbark early is the deployment one — hosted or on your own server — because that is what decides how the payment terminal connects and who owns the box it talks to.

Ironbark Software also has Ironbark Point of Sale.
