Ironbark Point of Sale is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Ironbark Software. Forty-plus years of Australian-owned ERP, with the till as a module of it — strongest where the stock is timber, fuel or fresh produce.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Ironbark Software is Australian-owned and operated and has been delivering ERP for more than forty years. Calling it a POS company both undersells and misdescribes it: the point of sale sits inside its retail and wholesale ERP, next to inventory, pricing, e-commerce integration and the back-end financials, in one connected system rather than as a standalone product.

The reputation is built on the verticals either side of that counter — fresh produce, fuel distribution, timber and logging, third-party logistics and warehouse management. Those are businesses where stock arrives by the tonne and the price depends on weight, grade or lot, and where a generic retail package falls over in week two. Customers run from family-owned operations through to large multi-site enterprises.

Which tells you who it suits. A single cafe will find it heavy. A multi-site produce wholesaler or a timber yard where traceability decides the invoice will find it on a short list of maybe three systems that can actually handle the stock. For the payment side, the thing to pin down is how the terminal hangs off an ERP-integrated counter rather than a till app.

Ironbark Software also has Ironbark Cloud POS.
