Taptouch POS — bank compatibility

Taptouch is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Ivida Smart Technologies. Australian-built, ships its own hardware, and claims 4,000-plus venues across four countries — a lot more reach than the name suggests.

Certified on Linkly, running in the cloud. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.

Taptouch is the POS brand of Ivida Smart Technologies Pty Ltd. The pitch is omnichannel from the ground up: orders arriving from the counter, a kiosk, online, the phone and tablets at the table, all landing in one system, with multi-printer kitchen setups, expediter screens and kitchen displays behind it. They say they are trusted by over 4,000 venues and sell into Australia, the UK, New Zealand and the Netherlands.

Unlike most POS vendors they build their own hardware rather than reselling someone else's — an 11-inch detachable tablet (the T11), a dual-screen counter unit (D53) and a 21.5-inch kiosk (K23) — with software plans running from free up to around $165 plus GST a month. Built-in QR ordering is the feature they lead with, and the delivery integrations are the standard Australian set: Uber Eats, DoorDash, Deliveroo and Hungry Panda, plus OpenTable for bookings.

The customers they name are mid-sized independents rather than chains: the five-site Sky Phoenix group, Reni's Grill & Bar, Third Wave BBQ, Wagyu Ya Teppanyaki, Broaster and Cafe Capri, which says it pushes over 80 orders an hour at peak. That is the right profile to ask for references from. The counter figures on their site display as placeholder zeros, so the 4,000-venue number is the only one worth quoting back at them.

Ivida Smart Technologies also has Taptouch Beauty, Taptouch Hospitality, Taptouch Kiosk and Taptouch Retail.
