Gladstone Plus2 — practice software and bank compatibility

Gladstone Plus2 is practice-management software for health, built by Jonas Leisure. British, not Australian — the membership engine behind UK council leisure trusts, folded into an Australian company in 2013.

Plus2 is Gladstone's membership management module, and Gladstone is the British half of the 2013 merger that created Jonas Leisure. The wider Gladstone stack is built on a single database with modules hanging off it: Plus2 for memberships, Connect for online booking, eyeQ for reporting, Learn2 for course management, Join@Home for online joining, plus kiosks and RFID access control, with payments, marketing and point of sale around the edges. By 2016 the company said more than 30,000 licensed users worldwide relied on its applications, with Tom Withers as managing director.

The customer shape is local authority leisure. Hambleton District Council ran it across four leisure centres; Active Northumberland across 18 sites. One genuinely unusual policy: under what Gladstone called "Software for Life", it did not charge for major upgrades — rare in a market where the version bump is where the margin lives.

Jonas Leisure, which now carries the product in this part of the world, was established in 2013 from the Centaman and Gladstone amalgamation and says it is backed by Constellation Software, the Toronto-listed group behind Tower Systems, Surefire, ACR and Impos. Head office is Brisbane, with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Auckland and Wellington. Worth knowing that Jonas launched a ground-up replacement platform, VELEO, in 2026 — so ask where Plus2 sits in the roadmap before you commit to a payment setup built around it.
