Enabler POS — bank compatibility

Enabler POS is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Magenta Retail. This is Magenta's older till, and the vendor now publishes a transition path off it onto EEPOS — worth knowing before you spend money extending it.
Certified on mx51, which is the engine behind several banks’ own terminal offerings rather than something a merchant buys by name.
Certified for cash out.
The mx51 integration uses SPI .NET and was last certified in January 2025, on Windows.
Enabler is the earlier generation of Magenta Retail's point of sale. Magenta's own material describes a clear transition path for Enabler customers onto EEPOS, its current desktop POS. That is about as direct a statement of product lifecycle as a vendor ever gives you in public, and it is the single most useful fact about this record.
It is not a reason to panic if you are running it. Legacy retail POS often runs well for years, and migrations are disruptive and expensive — plenty of businesses are better off staying put. It is a reason to ask Magenta directly, in writing, about three things: support timelines for Enabler, what happens to your EFTPOS integration under a migration, and whether the terminal and middleware you have now carry across to EEPOS. Get those answers before you commit capital to extending the current setup.
Magenta serves Australian and New Zealand retailers and targets mid-size and larger operators, with depth in import management, landed costs, foreign currency, multi-store replenishment and transfers. Support numbers run through Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch alongside Australia.
Magenta Retail also has EE POS, Enabler and Magenta Retail.
