Enabler is a point-of-sale system for general retail, gifts and homeware and retail, built by Magenta Retail. Australian-owned, pitched squarely at the multi-store retailer who has outgrown a cloud till but does not want an ERP.
Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.
It handles cash out. Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.
The Linkly integration runs on premise.
Magenta Retail is an independent, Australian-owned software company serving retailers across Australia and New Zealand, with what it describes as more than 40 years of retail experience behind the product. Enabler is its POS and retail management platform.
The positioning is the useful part. Magenta explicitly puts itself between simple cloud tools and full ERP — point of sale, inventory, purchasing, promotions and store operations in one, aimed at established and growing multi-store operators. Its stated verticals are sporting and leisure, homewares, lifestyle, fashion and other niche categories, with cloud hosting, customisation and support offered alongside the licence.
That middle ground is a real gap in the market and a genuinely awkward one to shop for, because the cheap end undersells it and the ERP end overquotes it.
Magenta Retail also has EE POS, Enabler POS and Magenta Retail.
