MNPOS is a point-of-sale system for cafes and hospitality, built by MEDIANARA. Logan, south of Brisbane, and the self-ordering tablets look like a bigger business than the till.

Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.

It handles cash out.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

MNPOS is Medianara's Windows point of sale, run out of the Nealdon Business Centre at Meadowbrook in Logan and serving Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Their own figures: 1,578 shops on MNPOS and 5,534 tablets deployed through Tabletious, their native Android self-ordering system. There is a kiosk product as well, handling online and QR-based ordering.

That tablet number is the interesting bit. More than three tablets per shop on average says the self-ordering side is where the business actually sits, and the POS is what the tablets talk to. Listed hardware and integration partners are PartnerTech, CAS, Linkly and Tyro. Beyond software they also do business consulting, system integration, website development and hardware selection — a local full-service shop rather than a product company.

So be clear about which half you are buying. If you are a restaurant trying to cut wait times and floor staff, Tabletious plus MNPOS is the product. If you only want a counter till, you are buying the smaller end of what they do.

MEDIANARA also has TABLETIOUS Version.
