Retail Tools RMS POS PC-EFT is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Microchannel Services. A legacy Microsoft Retail Management System till wired up through PC-EFTPOS, supported by a firm Fujifilm bought at the start of 2023.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

This record describes an older arrangement rather than a current product: a Microsoft Retail Management System till integrated through PC-EFTPOS, the pinpad integration layer that has since been renamed Linkly. The implementer is MicroChannel, whose heritage dates to 1995 and which deploys and supports Microsoft business applications across ERP, CRM, retail, warehousing, marketing automation, field service and business intelligence.

MicroChannel Services was acquired by FUJIFILM Business Innovation at the start of 2023 and has traded as FUJIFILM MicroChannel since 1 March 2023. The reported price was around $100 million, it brought in more than 200 professionals regionally, and MicroChannel had been running at roughly $60 million in revenue. In October 2024 the business bought DXC Technology's Oceania small and medium business practices across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, taking on six solution lines including Dynamics 365 Business Central and SAP Business One. Brisbane is head office, with operations in New Zealand, Fiji, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

If this is what you are running, the structural point is that both halves are legacy. Microsoft's Retail Management System is long out of mainstream support, and the old PC-EFTPOS on-premise model meant a pinpad cabled to each counter PC with a service installed on every machine — fine when it works, awkward when you add lanes or move to cloud. The current firm's specialisation is Dynamics 365 Business Central, which is where it will want to move you. Before you spend anything on terminals, find out whether the quote assumes you stay on the legacy stack or migrate, because the two answers buy very different hardware.

Microchannel Services also has Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail and Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
