nbPOS is a point-of-sale system for hospitality, built by NetBookings. A Mornington Peninsula booking system that grew out of a dive charter, with the till as one module of thirteen.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Netbookings is based in Rye, Victoria, on the Mornington Peninsula, and has been going over 28 years. The origin is specific enough to be worth repeating: Tom Wende, who ran OzDive & Boat Charters, let them use his business to build and test their first online booking system. Servers sit in Australia and New Zealand, and support is Australian.

The customer is a multi-faceted tourism business — hot springs resorts, campgrounds, multi-activity venues, tour operators — the kind that sells a bath, a massage, a meal, an entry ticket and a gift voucher to the same person on the same day. The module list runs accommodation, backpackers, campgrounds, entry ticketing, events, gift vouchers, hot springs and bathing, memberships, online retail shop, passes, point of sale, spa and beauty, and tours and activities.

nbPOS is the counter end of that stack. Comparing it against a café POS misses what you are buying: the bookings engine is the product and the till comes with it. If your venue is one activity and one counter, this is more system than you need.

NetBookings also has Netbookings.
