ClearWeigh is weighbridge software for professional services, built by Newcastle Weighing Services. Third-generation weighbridge software from a Newcastle outfit that has been building the actual weighbridges since 1976.
Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.
The Linkly integration runs on premise.
Newcastle Weighing Services has manufactured weighbridges and weighbridge equipment since 1976, out of Mayfield West in Newcastle, and ClearWeigh is the third generation of its waste-industry weighing systems. That hardware heritage is the whole pitch: this is not a software company that learned about scales, it is a scale company that wrote the software, and ClearWeigh ships as combined software and hardware modules that will connect to any weighbridge make or model rather than only the vendor's own.
The company says it has supplied and installed hundreds of weighbridge management systems for councils and businesses across Australia. What the software actually does is reporting and reconciliation: waste movement, cash drawer reconciliation, audits and environment protection authority reports. It handles single and multi-site operations and replicates data back to consolidated administration databases, which is what a council with four tips and one finance team needs.
Why the payment side is different here: the transaction is a truck on a weighbridge, priced off tonnage calculated on the spot, often with a cash drawer in a small gatehouse and an EPA reporting obligation attached to every load. The terminal matters less than whether the payment reconciles cleanly against the weighed ticket, because the audit trail is the point. Cash drawer reconciliation being a headline feature tells you where the risk sits in this trade.
Newcastle Weighing Services also has Wasteman 2G WRU and WSN Waste Receival Unit.
