POS Republic POS — bank compatibility

POS Republic POS is a point-of-sale system for hospitality, built by POS Republic. Brisbane-based and hospitality-only, with a range that leans unusually hard on kiosks and queue management.
Certified on mx51, which is the engine behind several banks’ own terminal offerings rather than something a merchant buys by name.
Certified for surcharging.
The mx51 integration uses SCI and was last certified in June 2026, on Windows.
POS Republic operates out of Archerfield in Brisbane and sells only into hospitality. The range is broader than the till: point of sale, self-ordering kiosks, mobile ordering, cloud-based digital signage, a payment solution, and a ticketing and number-calling system. That last one is the tell — number calling is a food court and quick-service problem rather than a restaurant one, so this is a vendor shaped by that end of the market.
The back end is cloud dashboards for sales, inventory and menus, and they pitch to single outlets through to multi-site operations. Named customers, a founding date and a venue count are not published, and there is very little independent coverage of the company — so treat them as a local specialist worth a demo rather than a known quantity. Ask for reference sites of a similar size and format to yours, and ask how long those sites have been running, because that is the number that actually tells you something.
POS Republic also has POS Republic WebPOS, Self Order Kiosk and Self Ordering Kiosk.
