POS Republic WebPOS is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by POS Republic. The browser-delivered till from Brisbane outfit POS Republic — and their own site is hospitality-only, which is worth knowing if you are a retailer.
Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.
The Linkly integration runs on premise.
POS Republic WebPOS is the web-delivered point of sale from POS Republic, a hospitality technology company based at Archerfield in Brisbane. A browser-based till means less software to install and update on each device, and usually a cheaper hardware path, since almost anything with a browser can become a register.
It also means one question matters more than any other: what happens when the internet drops mid-service. Ask them specifically about offline mode — whether you can keep taking orders, whether you can keep taking card payments, and what reconciliation looks like when the connection comes back. A web POS vendor who cannot answer that crisply is telling you something.
One thing to flag. This product is listed against retail, but POS Republic's own website positions the company entirely around hospitality — their range is kiosks, mobile ordering, digital signage and a ticketing and number-calling system aimed at food courts and quick service. If you are a retailer, confirm directly that they actively support retail operations and ask for retail reference sites, rather than assuming the hospitality build stretches.
POS Republic also has POS Republic POS, Self Order Kiosk and Self Ordering Kiosk.
