This is POS Republic's self-ordering kiosk. POS Republic runs out of Archerfield in Brisbane and sells into hospitality only, and kiosks sit alongside their POS, mobile ordering, digital signage and a ticketing and number-calling system. That combination points squarely at food courts and quick service, where a customer orders at a screen and gets called by number — and it means the kiosk is not a bolt-on they added to tick a box.

Kiosks change the EFTPOS question, so do not treat it as the same purchase as a till. The terminal has to take a card with nobody standing behind it, and the integration has to cope with a customer walking away mid-transaction or a payment timing out with a half-built order on screen. Ask both POS Republic and your bank which specific terminal models they have actually deployed on kiosks in live venues, not just certified on paper, and what the failure behaviour is.

There is little independent information on the company — no published founding date or customer count — so ask for kiosk reference sites of your format and size, and ask how long they have been live. A kiosk that has survived two years of a busy food court tells you more than any spec sheet.
