D365 Store Commerce is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Retail Realm. Microsoft's current retail till, certified into Australian payments by Retail Realm rather than by Microsoft.

Certified on Linkly, running in the cloud. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.

Store Commerce is the point of sale front-end for Microsoft Dynamics 365, so if your business already runs Dynamics, this is the till that belongs to it. The thing to understand is that Microsoft does not get this certified for Australian EFTPOS — Retail Realm does, and the record in the directory sits under their name, not Microsoft's.

Retail Realm is the company behind Retail Management Hero, and the reason it exists is worth knowing: Microsoft discontinued its Dynamics Retail Management System, and RMH was built as the next-generation replacement for all those stranded RMS retailers. RMH POS launched in 2016, RMH Central followed in 2019, and Retail Realm's chairman Afshin Alikhani ran the deal. It sells through distributors rather than direct — and in Australia and New Zealand the exclusive distributor since 1 September 2017 has been Advantage Solutions Distribution, trading as asdisti.com.au.

Set expectations on the payments side, because this is the thinnest certification of the Retail Realm family: Core Payments only. No MOTO, no POS settlement or settlement enquiry, no terminal-based cash out in the certified set, unlike the RMH Bridge and MAX PAY records from the same vendor. If you need any of those at the counter, find out which of their products actually carries them before you plan the rollout, because the answer may be a different module entirely.

Advantage is the party you would actually deal with here. Founded in 1990 to serve small-to-medium retail, it took on Microsoft's RMS in 2007, got RMH-certified in early 2017, sits on the RMH advisory board for the region and converted its own RMS iPOS product into RMH iPOS. It handles local order processing, support and training, receipt and report localisation, MYOB and Xero integration, and custom development. Its customers run from single stores to enterprises with 100-plus stores, some of those relationships going back to the 1990s.

Retail Realm also has MAX PAY GLOBAL (Retail Modern POS), Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail, Modern POS AX7 and Retail Management Hero POS and 2 others.
