MAX PAY GLOBAL (Retail Modern POS) — bank compatibility

MAX PAY GLOBAL (Retail Modern POS) is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Retail Realm. The mx51 route into Microsoft retail, and a noticeably fuller payments set than the Linkly-based records beside it.
Certified on mx51, which is the engine behind several banks’ own terminal offerings rather than something a merchant buys by name.
The integration covers phone and mail order.
The mx51 integration uses SPI .NET and was last certified in March 2019, on Windows.
MAX PAY GLOBAL is a Retail Modern POS integration for Microsoft Dynamics retail, and the thing that separates it from its siblings in the directory is the plumbing underneath. Most of Retail Realm's Microsoft records go through Linkly; this one and the RMH Bridge go through mx51 — the payments platform spun out of Westpac — which changes which banks and acquirers are reachable.
Retail Realm is the company behind Retail Management Hero, and the reason it exists is worth knowing: Microsoft discontinued its Dynamics Retail Management System, and RMH was built as the next-generation replacement for all those stranded RMS retailers. RMH POS launched in 2016, RMH Central followed in 2019, and Retail Realm's chairman Afshin Alikhani ran the deal. It sells through distributors rather than direct — and in Australia and New Zealand the exclusive distributor since 1 September 2017 has been Advantage Solutions Distribution, trading as asdisti.com.au.
It also carries the fuller certified set: integrated purchase, MOTO, receipts, refunds, POS settlement and POS settlement enquiry. Settlement and settlement enquiry at the till is the one to notice, because it means end-of-day reconciliation happens in the POS rather than by walking to the terminal and reading a printout. In a multi-lane store that is a real time saving, and it is absent from the D365 Store Commerce record from the same vendor. MOTO matters if you take card details over the phone for click-and-collect or account customers.
Advantage is the party you would actually deal with here. Founded in 1990 to serve small-to-medium retail, it took on Microsoft's RMS in 2007, got RMH-certified in early 2017, sits on the RMH advisory board for the region and converted its own RMS iPOS product into RMH iPOS. It handles local order processing, support and training, receipt and report localisation, MYOB and Xero integration, and custom development. Its customers run from single stores to enterprises with 100-plus stores, some of those relationships going back to the 1990s.
Retail Realm also has D365 Store Commerce, Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail, Modern POS AX7 and Retail Management Hero POS and 2 others.
