Retail Management Hero POS is a point-of-sale system for general retail and retail, built by Retail Realm. Built to catch everyone Microsoft left behind when Dynamics RMS died.

Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.

It handles split bills and cash out. Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Retail Management Hero exists for one reason: Microsoft killed Dynamics RMS. Mainstream support for Dynamics RMS Store Operations 2.0 ended on 10 July 2016, and RMH shipped worldwide eleven days later, on 21 July. It was built by Retail Realm — a Microsoft Dynamics distributor and developer, chaired by Afshin Alikhani — co-developed with Retail Hero, specifically so RMS sites could move without losing functionality or data. If you are on RMH today, the odds are good you were on RMS yesterday.

In Australia and New Zealand it does not come from Retail Realm directly. Advantage Solutions Distribution has been the exclusive RMH distributor for the region since 1 September 2017 — a company established in 1990 that had previously built its own extensions to Microsoft RMS, run by managing director Richard Maurer. They handle local order processing, support, training, receipt and report localisation, and the MYOB and Xero integrations. So the vendor relationship is two layers deep: a US product, an Australian distributor, and your reseller on top of that. Ask who actually answers the phone at 7pm on a Saturday before you sign.
