The Linkly integration runs on premise.
This record is the Modern POS for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, certified at cumulative update 10. That level of specificity is the interesting part: not a product, not a version, but a particular CU of a particular release. Retail Realm is the party that certified it for Australian payments, as with the rest of the Microsoft retail records in the directory.
Retail Realm is the company behind Retail Management Hero, and the reason it exists is worth knowing: Microsoft discontinued its Dynamics Retail Management System, and RMH was built as the next-generation replacement for all those stranded RMS retailers. RMH POS launched in 2016, RMH Central followed in 2019, and Retail Realm's chairman Afshin Alikhani ran the deal. It sells through distributors rather than direct — and in Australia and New Zealand the exclusive distributor since 1 September 2017 has been Advantage Solutions Distribution, trading as asdisti.com.au.
The lesson in a record like this is about how payments certification actually works on enterprise ERP. The integration is validated against a build, and if your Dynamics environment has moved past that build — or has not reached it — the certification does not automatically travel with you. So the question to put to whoever is quoting you is which CU your environment is actually on and whether the certified integration matches it. People discover the mismatch during the rollout, which is the expensive time to discover it.
Advantage is the party you would actually deal with here. Founded in 1990 to serve small-to-medium retail, it took on Microsoft's RMS in 2007, got RMH-certified in early 2017, sits on the RMH advisory board for the region and converted its own RMS iPOS product into RMH iPOS. It handles local order processing, support and training, receipt and report localisation, MYOB and Xero integration, and custom development. Its customers run from single stores to enterprises with 100-plus stores, some of those relationships going back to the 1990s.
Retail Realm also has D365 Store Commerce, MAX PAY GLOBAL (Retail Modern POS), Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail and Modern POS AX7 and 2 others.
