RetailPos Advantage POS — bank compatibility

RetailPos Advantage is a point-of-sale system for general retail and retail, built by Retail Solutions. Adelaide, and they will drive to you with a demo — a cash register dealer that wrote its own software.

Certified on mx51 and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The mx51 route does not.

The mx51 integration uses SCI and was last certified in July 2026, on Windows.

Retail Solutions runs out of Adelaide and comes at this from the hardware side first. They are a cash register and POS hardware dealer — Casio registers, Epson receipt printers, scanners, cash drawers, scales, touchscreens, even the network cabling — who built their own software, RetailPOS Advantage, to run on top of it. The verticals they name are pizza bars and fast food, restaurants and cafes, hotels, bars and clubs, fruit and vegetable and health food shops, general retail with lay-by, and hair and beauty.

That mix tells you the shape of the business: an owner-operator supplier who will come to your site and set the whole thing up, with a product aimed at independents rather than chains. Fruit and veg weighing and lay-by are not features a cloud POS vendor bothers building, and a free software tier is not a pricing model a venture-funded one would offer.

The flip side is reach. If you are a multi-state group, ask hard about support coverage outside South Australia before you commit, and get it in writing.
