This is the most mislabelled record on the list, so start here: Revolution Software Services builds a dealer management system for car, motorcycle and marine retailers. Accounting, sales, service, parts and CRM for a dealership. It is tagged retail, and in the loosest sense a dealership is retail, but if you are a shopkeeper comparing tills this is not in your market at all.

Toyota Australia acquired the company outright, announced on 7 April 2020, price undisclosed, with Prime Financial Group brokering. Revolution was already one of Toyota's suppliers and had provided Toyota's dealer management system since 2008. Its flagship is TUNE, and Toyota expected more than 200 Toyota and Lexus dealers to be on the platform by the end of 2023. Co-founder and CEO Anthony Nadalini described it afterwards as a stand-alone company within the Toyota group. Toyota Australia's Mike Rausa framed the deal as giving the manufacturer the ability to work closely with dealers on integrating technology.

Which is the genuinely interesting bit of market structure here: a car manufacturer bought the software its own dealers run on. If you are a Toyota or Lexus dealer, the vendor and the franchisor are now the same group. The company is Sydney-based; its founding year is not published anywhere we could find, and the current site gives no location or customer count at all.
