addzup sits in the addz family from Shift8 Pty Ltd, based in Haymarket, Sydney. The naming in this range is close enough to cause genuine confusion: addzme is the loyalty and POS app Shift8 launched in Australia in 2023, built around customers collecting rewards across every participating business from a single app, and Shift8's enterprise products all carry S8 branding instead. Get the product name, the modules and the platform in writing before you sign anything, and ask which of the lines it sits on for support purposes.

Shift8's core business is point of sale and loyalty for multi-site franchise food brands and high-volume quick service restaurants — head office control of menus, pricing, loyalty and reporting across every store. The product list runs S8pos for iPad and Windows, S8mc for management, S8mini for live sales, kiosks on Android and iPad, online ordering and Shift8 Payments. CEO Amy Renae has been with the company more than a decade.

The useful read for a small operator is that the platform underneath comes from a franchise-grade system, which generally means it holds up under volume.
