Suncorp Bank

Head office:
Brisbane, QLD, Australia

Now Norfina Limited and wholly owned by ANZ — and exiting merchant services entirely, with facilities ceasing 11 December 2026.

About Suncorp Bank

Suncorp Bank is no longer part of Suncorp Group. ANZ’s acquisition was announced in July 2022, opposed by the ACCC in August 2023, authorised by the Australian Competition Tribunal in February 2024 and completed in July 2024. The entity was renamed Norfina Limited, and Suncorp Bank’s own site states the Suncorp brand is used under licence and that it is not part of the Suncorp Group. Suncorp Group, still ASX-listed as SUN, is now an insurer.

It retains its own ADI licence separate from ANZ’s, which is why it still reports separately in APRA’s statistics — A$94.70 billion in total residents’ assets at July 2026. Its operational base remains Brisbane but the registered office is now ANZ’s Melbourne address at 833 Collins Street, Docklands.

It never acquired itself, white-labelling ANZ Worldline, and is now exiting altogether. Its own site states that from 11 December 2026 Suncorp Bank will no longer be able to offer merchant facilities following changes to third-party provider arrangements, with existing facilities operating until 10pm AEST on 10 December 2026 and new enquiries directed to ANZ and ANZ Worldline.
