POSCAM is a point-of-sale system for hospitality and retail, built by Suntech Enterprise. Ferntree Gully in Melbourne, and it is legally approved to sell by weight — which narrows who it is for.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

POSCAM comes from Suntech Enterprise P/L, Unit 17, 756 Burwood Hwy, Ferntree Gully VIC. The reason to take it seriously is a document rather than a brochure: the National Measurement Institute pattern-approved the Suntech POS model POSCAM under certificate S658, with revision 3 issued on 31 May 2016. That approval makes it legal for trade use where price depends on weight.

The certificate also hands you detail you would never get from a sales call. The approved controller is a Posiflex KS-7215 or equivalent Windows PC running POSCAM 3.3.x.xx, with an optional LG L1954TQ customer display and a Citizen CT-S310II printer for transaction records. It reads measurement data from a connected approved instrument, computes price through a product look-up, totals measured and non-measured items on the same sale, and marks manually keyed weights on the docket. The CAS AP-1 scale is named as compatible. Price computation error is capped at half a cent. One real limitation: this approval does not allow a tare value to be applied.

Translated: this is a deli, butcher, seafood, fruit-and-veg or bulk-foods till, not a cafe system, and the no-tare restriction matters if you weigh product in a container. Note too that the website recorded against this vendor points at ZiiCloud, which is ZIITECH Pty Ltd of Deepdene VIC — a different company with a different product — so confirm who you are actually dealing with before signing anything.

Suntech Enterprise also has POSCAMCT.
