Sybiz Vision POS — bank compatibility

Sybiz Vision is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Sybiz Software. The flagship of a 1975 Adelaide company that spent two years inside Sage and then bought itself back.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Sybiz Vision is Sybiz Software's ERP and financials product, pitched at medium-to-large businesses. Sybiz started in South Australia in 1975 — founded by Malcolm and Pegy Boyd, originally as a local IT hardware provider — and still runs out of Adelaide with offices in Auckland and Dublin. Alongside Vision sit Visipay for payroll and HR, employee self-service, mobile apps and SybizCloud.

Who owns it has changed more than once and come back around. Softline bought Sybiz in 1998, Sage acquired Softline in 2003, and in 2005 a management buy-out led by Grant Argy and Ben O'Brien returned the company to Australian ownership. It has since absorbed its own distributors: Revolution Systems in New Zealand in 2008, and the Irish distributor in 2015, now trading as Sybiz Europe.

Vision is sold through a channel partner network rather than direct, across Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Fiji, Ireland and the UK. For payments that matters more than it sounds: the integration is implemented and supported by the partner, so the acquirer conversation and the software conversation usually happen with the same person — which cuts both ways.

Sybiz Software also has Sybiz.
