Tower Systems International v2.7.3.2 (Cloud) is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Tower Systems International (Aust). A specific versioned cloud build of Tower's Retailer — and the version number is the point, because the EFTPOS integration was certified against that release.

Certified on Linkly, running in the cloud. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.

This record is Tower Systems International's Retailer at version 2.7.3.2, running cloud. The version pin is not trivia: EFTPOS integrations get certified against a named release, so if your shop is on an older or newer build the behaviour can differ. Confirm with Tower which version you are actually on and which one your terminal and middleware were signed off against before you assume anything works.

Tower itself is one of the oldest names in Australian retail software. Mark Fletcher built an accounting system for newsagents on his kitchen table in 1981, hired the first employee in 1982 and shipped the first point of sale in 1994. The company has been in Hawthorn, Melbourne since 2009, and it has built dedicated software for roughly thirty specialty retail niches — newsagents, bikes, toys, gifts, jewellers, pet shops, garden centres, produce, fishing, pool, firearms, vape, books, music and charity shops among them. They hold National Measurement Approval for fuel integration from 2014.

Ownership changed on 1 November 2024, announced in January 2025: Vela APX bought Tower, and Vela sits inside Vela Software Group and ultimately Constellation Software, the Canadian group that buys small vertical software companies and keeps them. Fletcher stayed two years. Nothing broke on day one, and Constellation's track record is to leave products operating, but the people setting price and support policy now sit a long way up a much larger org chart.

Tower Systems International (Aust) also has Retailer, Retailer - Kiosk, Retailer (On-premises only) and Retailer Roam.
