Onestop is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by UniLink Data Systems. a 1989 Melbourne campus payments business that now belongs to a New York-listed American lender.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

UniLink Data Systems was founded in 1989 and built its business on Australian university campuses — cashiering and e-commerce for, on Nelnet's description at the time, the majority of university campuses across Australia. That is the context Onestop sits in. It is campus and institutional retail, not high street retail, and the retail tag on this record should be read that way.

The ownership is the part most sites using it have probably never thought about. Nelnet Business Solutions took an interest in UniLink in early 2008, planning to fold its cashiering engine into QuikPAY for North America, and acquired the business outright in 2013. Nelnet is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. UniLink's other product, BookNet, is now openly branded "from Nelnet", with Nelnet International in the copyright line and an office at Wheelers Hill in Victoria. So a small Melbourne campus software firm is now a line item inside a US education finance group.

Be aware of the limit on what is knowable here: Onestop itself is barely documented. Nothing we could fetch describes the product, its features or its install base — even UniLink's own partner listings talk about BookNet and not Onestop. The company and ownership story is solid; the product detail is not, and we would rather say so than fill the gap.

UniLink Data Systems also has BookNet.
