United Engineering & Software is not a POS company in any normal sense. It specialises in weighing applications and PLC-based plant automation — weighbridge software, concrete batching systems, fertiliser batching, driver control stations and the physical consoles they sit in. The metal recycling product is its weighbridge package in a scrap yard configuration: trucks on and off the bridge, dockets printed, and EFTPOS and MYOB or Xero interfaces listed as standard features. Weighbridge software is listed at $9,600 ex GST for the standard version, with attended and unattended variants, which puts it squarely in the one-off licence world rather than per-terminal subscription.
