Veezi POS is a point-of-sale system for entertainment and leisure, built by Vista Entertainment Solutions. Vista's cloud product for the small end of exhibition — written for independents under 20 screens, and running in 27 countries.

Veezi is the cloud half of Vista Entertainment Solutions, the Auckland cinema software company inside NZX- and ASX-listed Vista Group International (VGL). Vista launched it in March 2012 on a software-as-a-service subscription, aimed squarely at the exhibitors its enterprise product does not suit — anyone with fewer than 20 screens. Same company, same cinema domain knowledge, a completely different buying decision.

It is cinema management rather than a general till: session scheduling, internet ticketing, and integrations with the online ticket aggregators are the whole point. By 2018 it was in cinemas in 27 countries, and its most visible win was CanalOlympia, the Vivendi-owned African cinema and live-performance network, which agreed in September 2018 to put Veezi across every venue it runs — nine sites in seven countries at the time, with more opening. CanalOlympia also moved to wire Orange Money into Veezi's internet ticketing.

For an Australian independent the pitch is straightforward: you get software built by the company that runs the big circuits, on a subscription, without the enterprise implementation. The thing to check is which payment path the subscription assumes, because a cloud POS and an on-premise terminal integration do not always want the same architecture.
