ZiiKiosk — bank compatibility

Self-service kiosk by ZIITECH · All point-of-sale systems

  • hospitality

ZiiKiosk is a self-service kiosk for hospitality, built by ZIITECH. The self-order screen in front of a food court tenancy, not a counter till.

Certified on both Linkly and mx51, which between them cover most of the acquiring market.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud or on premise. Linkly holds 2 separate certified builds for it, so what works depends which one you are on. The mx51 integration uses SPI JavaScript and was last certified in February 2024, on Android.

This is a kiosk record, so what matters is what it plugs into. ZiiKiosk is the self-ordering front end of the Zii platform from ZIITECH — the Melbourne company founded in 2003 as Digifield — and it is pushed hardest at food courts and quick service. The hardware they point at for it is Zii Go!, an Android unit with dual screens and an embedded printer.

The food court case is the one worth understanding, because it is a different problem to a single venue's till. Zii runs a centralised portal across multiple tenancies: menu management, reporting and third-party integrations in one place. Their own published example is Auntie Anne's at Westfield Parramatta, running Tyro for payments and Deliverect for delivery aggregation alongside Westpac.

One practical note: ZIITECH does not use the name ZiiKiosk prominently in its own marketing — kiosks are presented as one ordering channel within Zii, beside tablet ordering and QR. If you are chasing a quote, ask about Zii, and ask whether the kiosk can run without the rest of the stack.

ZIITECH also has ZiiKTO, ZiiPOS, Ziipos Classic Edition and ZiiPOS Retail.
