ZiiPOS — bank compatibility

ZiiPOS is a point-of-sale system for bars and pubs, cafes, hospitality and quick service, and 1 more, built by ZIITECH. Melbourne, 2003, and it started life as a company called Digifield.

It is certified on all three middleware layers that matter here — Linkly, mx51 and Tyro. Eighteen of the 1,127 systems on this site manage that, which leaves your choice of bank about as open as it gets.

The integration covers tipping, phone and mail order and surcharging. Tyro rates it a Plus partner.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud or on premise. Linkly holds 2 separate certified builds for it, so what works depends which one you are on. ZiiPOS is the hospitality half of Zii, the trading brand of ZIITECH Pty Ltd out of Deepdene in Melbourne's east. The company was founded in 2003 as Digifield, doing hospitality and retail operations, and says it had 10,000 customers on the platform by 2013. The rebrand to Zii came later, so if you have an old Digifield system sitting under the counter, this is where that lineage ends up.

What it is actually known for is the Asian F&B end of the market — sushi and hot pot venues, milk tea shops, food courts, QSR — and it is built as one stack rather than a till with bolt-ons: consumer ordering at the front, counter operations in the middle, back-of-house behind it. There is a separate ZiiPOS Retail build for shops. Worth knowing the two are the same company and the same platform, because quoting them against each other gets you nowhere.
