Least Cost Routing (LCR) / Merchant Choice Routing
A feature that sends eligible dual-network debit transactions down the cheapest network — usually eftpos instead of Visa or Mastercard. Mandated by the RBA for card-present payments; often switched off by default, so many merchants pay more than they need to.
