Abacus is a point-of-sale system for hospitality, built by POSSKI. An iPad hospitality POS now sold under the Liven banner, and nothing public explains the vendor name on this record.
Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.
The Linkly integration runs on premise.
Abacus is a cloud iPad point of sale for hospitality — menu management, payments, customer order history, loyalty, QR table ordering, an Abacus GO mobile POS and an Android option — listed on Capterra from A$69 per feature per month with a free trial. It is sold today through Liven: Liven's own FAQ asks "How do I start using Abacus POS by Liven?", it sells Abacus-branded receipt and label printers in its shop, and it describes the system as built by Abacus and "trusted by thousands of venues and tested with millions of transactions".
Liven is the Australian hospitality technology group that completed more than $152 million of acquisitions, Abacus and OrderUp among them. Roll'd co-founder Bao Hoang's quote on Liven's own site refers to going "From Liven to Abacus and OrderUp", which treats them as distinct brands under one roof rather than one merged product. Abacus is also a listed integration partner of me&u, covering Order & Pay and multi-vendor, supported across Australia and New Zealand.
One honest caveat. This record names the vendor as POSSKI, and no public source mentions that name in connection with Abacus or any other POS — Abacus's own site is closed to automated access, so it could not be checked there. If you are on this system, the name that matters commercially is Liven.
